In my Landscape Structures class, we had an assignment to do a landscape project to get experience using materials and installing them. I was in a group with two other students and we chose to landscape a section of the yard of the house that I am renting. We decided to design and build a new planting bed on the east side of the backyard.

We chose a rectangular style to match the architecture of the house and the rest of the existing landscape.

Finished Product: This is as far as we got before it started snowing, other plantings and hardscapes will be installed in spring.
